lol, i cant beleive its been over year since i posted here.. oh well, the point is, i have now posted.

so just to be straight with you... i dunno if i'm going to fully get back into blogging here, but i think i'll try. i am going to definately start blogging again though. i am designing a new site at the moment, that will be both personal blog, and teaching resources, as well as videos, music and anything else i do. as well as this, it will be a collaboration with somone else...

i mean, this man is one of the most influential people in the music world, and he has been for more thatn 40 years now, whether its his work with the beatles, or with wings, or his solo stuff.
pretty much every modern recording artist of the last couple of decades would cite him as a major influence.

soo....

whats been happening, thats a hard question, because, the answer is alot, in fact, too much to talk about in this post. now thats not because it won't fit, its just that i am feeling particularly lazy this new years eve, and i have to get ready for a party....

Sooo.... now that Ye 'ole festive season is over, i have some reflections....
as you probably know, i work in a network communications (optus) store, in a shopping centre, and it amazes me that, according to the retail world the christmas season starts around november 10th.

Furthermore, in this particular shopping centre, they have decided to go for a christmas/Madagascar(the movie) theme. this includes things like dozens and dozens of stuffed animals and shipping crates, on which things like "this way up' and "handle with care" are printed.... now i suppose your thinking, 'ok, the crates are a little wierd, but whats wrong with the animals?'

Well my friend, the problem is this, they are zoo animals, ie monkeys, lions, zebras ect.... further to this, there are still the traditional reaths and christmas trees, but... what is that on the christmas tree... its not tinsel, its no bauble, ... oh... its a LARGE PINK MONKEY!!

yes... on the main christmas tree which is right next to my shop, there is nothing but a string of lights, and a pink stuffed monkey... ok i lie a little... in addition to the monkey and the lights, there is a large banner across the christmas tree that says "Handle with care"...
i just don't get it..... and lastly, guess where they had santa.... yea... in a giant crate, about 6x8x2m... decorated with lights... and santa is not on a throne, but a large red three seater lounge...

hmmmmm.... anyway guys, thats enough ranting for this year...
so have a great new year....

I Went into this take away place in sydney, kingsleys chicken. I took a number from the counter and waited.

Then came my turn, a young bloke, possibly Inidian, called out my number, I came forward and proceeded to give him my order:

Me: “Could I get six chicken croquets and a jumbo chips please?”
Him: “Six crockets and the jumbo chips?”
I should point out that, being roughly based on a dutch food of the same name, the correct pronounciation of “croquets” is “crow-kays”, not “crockets” as the people at Kingsley’s seem to call them.
Me: “Yes please”.
Him: “I will put the gravy on the chips yes?”
Me: “No thank you, just the chips please.”
Him: “So no crockets?”
Me: “No…six croquets and a jumbo chips.”
Him: “And no gravy?”
Me: “That’s right.”
Him: “How about a drink? We have (insert list of drinks here).”
Me: “No, just the croquets and the chips please.”
Him: “Are you sure?”
Me: “Yes!”
Him: “So no drinks or gravy?”
Me: “Correct!”

Finally it sunk in, and he informed me of the total price, I gave him some money, and he gave me the correct change…but it wasn’t over, they only had four croquets ready, so he checked with one of the cooking people how long I would have to wait for the croquets…almost as if it mattered, I mean I paid for the things, what does it matter how long it will be?

Him: “The crockets will be three minutes, would you like half your order now and the rest when it’s ready, or would you like it all later?”
Me: “It doesn’t matter, just when it’s all ready.”

It got worse…he then turned around, got a cup, poured out a drink and put it on the bench in front of me…

Him: “Here is a free drink” (or something to that effect…he was mumbling…he didn’t tell me what drink it was though…would have been too bad if I had accepted it and been allergic to it, they might need a lawyer then)
Me: “I DON’T WANT…(mumbling)”

I had already explicitly declined a drink twice, so why he thought I would want one is beyond me. A few minutes later one of the cooking people brought my order over, I thanked her for it and left…leaving the drink right there on the counter.

A donut has a hole. I suppose for that exact reason you could call it a hole-donut. But, in retrospect, that same reason would stop you from calling it a whole donut… or would it? Is a donut with a hole, really a whole donut? Or is it actually the hole that makes a donut whole? Would a donut without a hole still be a whole donut? Some would be inclined to say yes, because without the hole, there is more donut, and if there is more donut, it makes the donut as a whole, more whole. I personally disagree with the whole no hole makes the donut more of a whole thing. I like to think that it is actually the hole that actually makes the donut a whole and without the hole, the donut would be lacking in something… it would not be whole. If a donut did not have a hole, not only do I think it would not be whole, I also think it would not be a donut. There is a story as to why these delectable treats have a hole, and I am going to tell you the whole story… or would it be the hole-story? Aaargh screw it, let’s just say I am going to tell you the whole hole story which will explain why donuts as a whole, would not be whole if they didn’t have holes…

I had heard about hacking the vending machines using the buttons on the front, but I never actually saw a manual....until NOW!! This is an official manual for a Coca-cola vending machine. as many of u will know, i am a fan of the motorola Razr Phone,(which is wierd considering its not really that great a phone as far as i can tell).... anyway motorola will have their new razr type phone(following on from the razr which is a clamshell phone, and the slvr which is a candybar phone) this phone is called Capri, and its a slider phone....

so what you say...well... i dunno... so what is probably the right response here... but i just think it looks cooll...

i'm so excited.... robbie williams is comin' back to australia, on what looks lijke is his bigget tour ever.....

i went to see robbie on his first aussie tour in 2000 @ the brisbane entertainment centre... probably the best show i've ever seen.... now that robbies popularity in australia has grown significantly.... he's doing the stadiums....

The tour dates are:

1st December: Subiaco Oval, Perth
5th December: AAMI Stadium, Adelaide
9th December: Aussie Stadium, Sydney

Don't wanna wait for Sony to complete their teaser campaign to peep that Vaio they're trying to generate some buzz about? Don't worry, jkOnTheRun has got you covered (well, maybe). According to site founder James Kendrick, a "reader who wishes to remain anonymous" sent him a number of pictures of this supposed ultraportable Vaio, which do indeed feature all of the disparate components visible in Sony's brief Flash movies. Besides portraying the device as a UMPC-style tablet with sliding QWERTY keyboard, one of the pictures clearly shows the words "Bluetooth," "WLAN," and "WWAN" on the screen's bezel when viewed full-size. We can also make out that fingerprint scanner from the teaser campaign, as well as a MemoryStick Duo slot and a "capture" button, although if that Motion Eye doesn't swivel, it won't make much of a camera. Of course these pictures, even if genuine, reveal nothing about the actual guts of the machine, so Sony still has several important details such as processor types/speeds, operating system (a return to PalmOS, perhaps?) and storage system/capacities to hold over our heads.
